How to Enrol

How to Complete your Enrolment Form
• Step One: Fill in your child's name, D.O.B and your contact details. This will enable us to accommodate your child. It allows us to reach you at any given time.
• Step Two: Tick the classes you would like your child to attend. If enrolling in the Recreational Stream please indicate if you are attending 1,2 or 3 ballet classes and on which days.
• Step Three: Check your enrolment form is correct and complete. Invoices are issued in accordance with this form, and by signing it, you are acknowledging that you have read, understand and retained a copy of ‘A Guide to Dance Kinetic 2011’.
• Step Four: Return your enrolment form as soon as possible. The enrolment fee covers your child's AMCOS cost for the year. AMCOS is a copyright fee for the use of music, both in class and when performing. It also covers the cost of trophies, therefore cutting out any fundraising activity.

Classes On Offer in 2012
• TWINKLE TOTS
Twinkle Tot classes are designed for pre school students wishing to engage in dance in a fun learning environment.
Students will learn basic gross motor skills as well as having a great time learning to dance and making new friends.
Twinkle Tot classes on offer in 2012 are:
1. Twinkle Tot Ballerinas
2. Twinkle Tot Grooverz
3. Twinkle Tapper Singerz
Approximate age of students is 2-4yrs.
Parents will be asked to be part of a supervision rotation program throughout each term to assist the teacher with toilet visits etc. A rostered timetable will be issued at the beginning of each term.
During your child's class time it is a great opportunity to enjoy some child free time and meetother families in the community by enjoying a weekly coffee together.
• PRE PRIMARY, PRIMARY, LEVEL 1 & LEVEL 2 DANCE BLOCK
In order to nurture young talent, DK has devised a program for young students that cater to the basic dance styles. In the children’s 1 ¼ hour or 1 1/2 hour block, they will learn ballet, jazz & tap. They will require ballet & tap shoes, jazz shoes can be purchased at your discretion. Cost for Pre Primary & Primary Dance Block is $16 per block (inc. GST). The Level 1 & Level 2 Dance Block is $19 per block (inc GST). Invoices will be issued per term.
• RECREATIONAL STREAM
Dance is a fun & social way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. DK caters to those students wishing to dance for fun & enjoyment. Should you choose not to be part of our Performance Stream, classes can be selected by the style. Styles on offer at DK include:
• Classical Ballet (RAD)
• Jazz (Recreational Class Only)
• Contemporary
• Hip Hop
• Tap (Glen Wood Tap Syllabus)
• Progressions
• Stretch & Strengthen
• Acrobatics
• Pointe
Fees are as follows:
• 1 hr class - $13 (inc GST)
• 45 min class - $10 (inc GST)
• 30 min class - $7.50 (inc GST)
Fees in the Recreational Stream are to be paid by the term. You will be invoiced on the first day of each term.
Invoices will be issued via email. Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct contact information on your enrolment form. If you wish to receive a hard copy of your invoice, please send us an email request.
• PERFORMANCE STREAM
Performance is an integral part of a dancers learning. Through performance students learn to conduct themselves in a competitive environment and learn appropriate etiquette for stage performance. Performance helps to improve self esteem and it encourages maturity and sportsmanship. As part of the Performance Stream at DK, students may perform as a soloist or as part of our Eisteddfod Workshop program.
In order to be part of our Performance Stream technique and improvement is important in order to enable DK to remain competitive at eisteddfods and for the growth of the child as a dancer.
12yrs and Under Performance Stream:
If your child is 12yrs or under and they wish to either dance solo or as part of the Eisteddfod Workshop program they must attend:
• 2 x Ballet Classes
• Pointe Class (where applicable)
• Contemporary
• Performance Jazz Class
• Junior Stretch (this is a separate cost of $8 per class)
Cost for this pack is $45 per week. You will be invoiced by the term for these classes. Should your child wish to learn other styles e.g. acrobatics, tap, hip hop or progressions, these classes are an additional costing.
13yrs & Over Performance Stream:
If your child is 13yrs and over and they wish to either dance solo or as part of the Eisteddfod Workshop program they must attend:
• 2/3 x Ballet Classes
• Pointe Class
• Contemporary
• Performance Jazz Class
• Senior Progressions
• Senior Stretch (this is a separate cost of $8 per class)
Cost for this pack is $65 per week. You will be invoiced by the term for these classes. Should your child wish to learn other styles e.g. acrobatics, tap or hip hop, these classes are an additional costing.
